John LaPlante is an associate in the Professional Practices Group at Donovan Hatem LLP. Prior to joining Donovan Hatem, John was an associate practicing in the Insurance and Commercial Litigation sections at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi, LLP., where he contributed as a team member in the arbitration concerning property insurance coverage for the World Trade Center; served as a senior associate in cases involving property and business interruption claims; and worked on a variety of complex intellectual property and commercial litigation matters. John was also an associate with Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, PC, where he conducted legal research and analysis for complex business, insurance and other civil litigation, and participated in all levels of discovery. He also researched and drafted a memorandum summarizing the Massachusetts judicial system for inclusion in a report of the Visiting Committee on Management for the Courts ("Monan Commission").
